Infrastructure Support for Existing NGOs

Digital Ishita Program

Digital Ishita is Arpan Foundation’s digital literacy program focused on providing girls and children from underserved communities with consistent, practical access to computer education within their schools. The program currently operates through dedicated computer labs established across partner schools, created in response to the lack of basic digital infrastructure in many government and low-income institutions. These labs ensure that digital learning is not occasional or optional, but a regular part of the school experience.

Each Digital Ishita lab follows a structured yet adaptable model, with age-appropriate computers, safe learning environments, and scheduled class time integrated into the school timetable. The program is delivered by trained teachers, either appointed by Arpan Foundation or supported through capacity-building of existing school staff, with a strong emphasis on child safety, inclusion, and first-generation learners.

Supporting girls’ education is central to our mission.
In collaboration with Sudhar Sabha, an education-focused non-profit based in Ajmer, we have outfitted their flagship Senior Secondary School with a state-of-the-art computer lab, featuring 15 computers and brand-new school furniture.

This initiative aims to provide young girls with the tools and resources needed to thrive in a digital world and enhance their educational experience.

In collaboration with Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal (RMKM), we proudly support the Meenu Manovikas Inclusive School, a safe and nurturing space for children with special needs.

Our efforts are focused on improving the school’s infrastructure to foster a more conducive learning environment. As part of this initiative, we have built and equipped a state-of-the-art computer lab, complete with 15 computers, desks, chairs, and a smart projector, providing students with the tools they need for a modern, inclusive education.
